On 8th April, 40 Yaks with our equipment arrived in Dingboche (4410 m). Here we decided which of the equipment we would need for our climb of the Island peak and which parts can directly go to the Everest basecamp. Three of our sherpas are asked to prepare a place at the Everest basecamp whereas we went on to the Island peak (6189 m).On April 13rd we had established an high camp in 5900 m altitude with two tents and food for acclimatization. On 15.04., we climbed up to the high camp again and spent the night there. The next day we reached the summit and an exciting view over the Khumbu region was ours. On the summit of Island Peak. In the background, the Makalu (left) and the Num Ri (right). After descending, we started immediately to break down our camp at Island peak because the yaks were already ordered for the next day. With an overnight in Lobuche (4900 m) we went to the Everest basecamp.
