There will be no optimal window this season! Therefore, it is our last and only chance and we hope for less wind than predicted. The first teams should be on the summit already, but we still not have any information from there at the BC. The weather is bad today, the summit of the Everest is obscured by clouds. I spent the day at the Pumo Ri and watched the spectacle from there.
The information that we will start tomorrow was a suprise for me because I have been out of the base camp for the whole day. Yesterday, we still intended to start on the 20th, but Thomas and Thorsten have got new information from other teams. Therefore, I have to pack my backpack and eat and drink as much as I can. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
